The roller-type overrunning clutch is divided into two types: outer star wheel and inner star wheel, based on the position of its inner yoke (star wheel). The so-called yoke refers to the conjugate surface between the cylinder and the cylindrical hole, while the star wheel is a component with grooves to accommodate the rollers. To facilitate processing and ensure machining accuracy, the inner star wheel type is widely adopted. According to the different shapes of the working surface of the star wheel, it can be further divided into three types: flat type, logarithmic spiral surface type, and eccentric cylindrical surface type.
