The starting relay is a specialized component for starting single-phase asynchronous motor compressors. The starting relay is a separate component whose function is to connect and disconnect the excitation coil and the holding coil circuit. In small refrigeration equipment such as refrigerators and air conditioners, the refrigeration compressor often uses a single-phase split-phase asynchronous motor. The role of the starting relay is to assist the motor in starting, and after the start is completed, it automatically disconnects the auxiliary winding to prevent damage to the auxiliary winding coil.
